For those who missed it during its initial run on pay TV, Showcase is offering a second run of Slings & Arrows, Paul Gross's delightful six-part miniseries about a Shakespearean theatre company and the difficulties it has trying to mount a production of Hamlet. The metaphors fly wildly with Gross front and centre in a cast that includes Martha Burns - Gross's real-life spouse - Don McKellar, Mark McKinney and Rachel McAdams who won a Gemini for her performance. Episode 1 debuts Monday with repeat broadcasts on Saturdays.
Meanwhile, production has begun on a second series, only this time it's Macbeth at the centre of the plot.
Mondays and Saturdays, 6 episodes of Slings and Arrows on Showcase. (Sigh, I do miss that channel.) Tune in and tell me about it!
